The Washington County Sheriff's Office operates the Washington County Jail and holds county booking and custody records. It does not publish a separate records-unit number, email, request form, fee schedule, or guaranteed response time. Call the main line before sending a request if you need to confirm the right format or recipient.

Those hours describe county administrative service, not the operating hours of the jail. For a booking record or photograph, give the person's full name, an approximate booking date, and a date of birth or booking number if known. Ask for an electronic copy and advance notice of any fee.
Court Cases and Outcomes
The Washington County Circuit Clerk keeps the court case and its disposition, which means the outcome recorded by the court. The clerk does not hold the sheriff's booking photograph. A public-access computer is available in the clerk's office during posted hours, and AlaCourt ACCESS is the statewide online route.

Choose the Right Source
Records are split by agency and stage. Use the route that matches the question instead of asking one office to supply every part of a case.
- For current county custody or a recent county booking, use the Washington County Sheriff's Office roster and weekly-booking page.
- For a county intake record or booking photo, send a focused request to the Sheriff's Office or call its main line.
- For a police incident report, contact the police department that made the arrest. A city police report is not the same as the jail booking photo.
- For charges filed in court and the final disposition, contact the Circuit Clerk or use AlaCourt ACCESS.
- For a person serving an Alabama state prison sentence, use the Alabama Department of Corrections offender search.
- For a federal prisoner or immigration detainee, use the official federal Bureau of Prisons or ICE locator.
- For immediate danger, call 911. Do not use emergency dispatch for routine records or roster questions.
